Cleaning according to the latest techniques

At Yme Kuiper, we ensure that our currants and raisins meet the highest quality standards. With three specialized cleaning lines, we clean, soak and check the dried fruits with the latest technologies.

During cleaning, various checks are carried out, such as an optical check using laser scans, which check the currants and raisins for any deviations. Imperfections are removed with air pressure. The X-rays then detect the particles that are too heavy, such as stone and glass. This allows us to guarantee food safety at all times.

Optimal control through advanced technology

Yme Kuiper supplies seed and kernel mixes in any desired composition. Perfectly tailored to different applications – both as an ingredient and decoration. But these mixes are also checked down to the smallest detail.


Our control procedures ensure that every mix fully meets the specifications. Samples are taken before and during production to verify the composition. Using a magnet or a bulk metal flow, metals present are removed from the mix. A sieve ensures that only products of the correct size pass through, while too large, too small or unwanted PVM particles are separated.

Other deviations in the mix are signalled by an optical sorter and removed immediately. This way you are assured of our custom-made mixes of only the highest quality!

Our optical sorting machine also ensures that defects are detected flawlessly in the nut mixes. This is because of the full-colour technology, deviations are detected and removed with maximum precision.

Seeds often contain stones as well as magnetic soil particles. When cleaning nuts, we typically remove shells, discolored nuts, and occasionally small stones.
