A sustainable future

At Yme Kuiper, we continuously work to make our operations more sustainable. We do this in several ways. By investing in sustainable energy sources, we are building a more sustainable and future-proof business. Our customers benefit from these investments too.

How do we do that?

Thanks to our solar panels, we can generate much of the energy we use during the day. All our offices and production areas are equipped with energy-efficient LED lighting. We are also working to reduce water consumption in our production processes. These measures help us reduce our environmental footprint and make our production processes more sustainable.

Green transport

We are also taking steps to make our transport more sustainable. We use HVO fuel for outbound transport, reducing our annual CO₂ emissions by approximately 20%.

We have also made our inbound container transport more sustainable. Where possible, imported products are transported by water instead of by road. As a result, emissions have been reduced even further. And we are proud of that!

Our sustainability goals

Sustainability legislation is becoming increasingly important. Together with Factor Delta, we are setting concrete sustainability targets as part of our preparations for the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD). This allows us to work towards clear, measurable results.

In addition, we are working on the implementation of the Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive (CSDDD).As part of this process, we critically assess our supply chains for environmental impacts and human rights risks. This helps us build more responsible and resilient supply chains.
