Yme Kuiper continuously strives for the most sustainable business operations possible. And we do that in many different ways. By investing in sustainable energy sources, we work on a healthy but especially long-term business operation. And you benefit from that!

How do we do that?

Thanks to our solar panels, we can operate energy-neutral during the day and all our offices and production areas are equipped with energy-efficient LED lighting. But we are also working on reducing water consumption within production. In this way, we reduce our ecological footprint and environmentally friendly production is getting closer.

Green transport

We also make conscious choices in the area of ​​transport. We use HVO fuels for outgoing transport, which saves us 20% CO2 per year.

Incoming container transport has also been made more sustainable. Instead of by road, imported products are now partly transported by water. As a result, emissions have fallen even further. And we are proud of that!

Towards green results

Sustainability legislation is becoming increasingly important. That is why we are preparing for the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) by setting concrete sustainability goals together with Factor Delta. In this way, we are working towards targeted results.

In addition, we are working on the implementation of the Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive (CSDDD), with which we critically analyse our supply chains for environmental impact and human rights risks. This not only means a greener future, but also a healthier future.

Our facility’s roof is fully equipped with solar panels, allowing us to operate almost energy-neutrally. In addition, we continuously monitor and reduce our water consumption wherever possible. When sourcing raw materials, we prioritize local suppliers to minimize our ecological footprint.
Our logistics partners operate on HVO fuel, achieving approximately 20% CO₂ reduction. Incoming goods are transported by water whenever possible and in full container loads.
